Stewardship Update for 2023 Parish Ministry Budget

As we look toward All Saints’ Sunday on November 6 and our hope to have the bulk of pledges collected by that point, I wanted to send this update to the parish, along with a video reflection on a deeper theme for the campaign.

Our focus this year is on celebrating our life as a Connected Community, and I continue to see so many examples of the strength and resilience of this parish. Thank you for your willingness to share your gifts and strengths as we work together to listen to the Spirit’s call.

Our current pledge total is nearly $500,000 toward our hoped-for total of around $1.2 million for next year’s budget. This total will enable us to take next steps on staff and ministry support and even more fully support our community outreach partners.

As you heard in the parish meeting I hosted, our shared ministry exists across a wide spectrum of areas, from children’s ministry to finance to outreach to choir. We have worked over these past nine years (building on the strength of a combined 195 years) to nurture a sense of spiritual gifts that we all can share. “Making a pledge” is not just about working toward a budgetary total; rather, it is a way that we all can set our intention within this community with a posture of hope, trust, dedication, joy, and thanksgiving for God’s presence in our lives.

Below is a link that you can use to make your commitment online if you’d like, and, of course, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me, Reba, or Sonja McLendon, Senior Warden, or Chaudron Gille, Junior Warden.

Blessings to you all!
