Held each year in observance of the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, Grace Church’s Blessing of Animals service provides not only an opportunity for our pets to be blessed, but also for us to give thanks for the many blessings we receive through our pets and other animals.
We will gather for the 2021 blessing in the parking lot at the corner of Brenau and Boulevard at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 3. Pets/domestic animals of all shapes and sizes are welcome, but please provide the appropriate restraint for any animal you bring. Owners are responsible for pet waste. (In the event of rain the blessing will be under the Grace Church covered driveway along Boulevard.)
At Grace Church, we’ve also taken this opportunity every fall to invite donations for the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia. You can find a list of items needed or make a monetary donation at their website.
We look forward to seeing you and your beloved pets at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 3.
