In the Sacred Scripture, there are texts that are called “Text of Terror” due to the difficult themes that the text provides. Rev. Edgar Otero will lead the Sunday Forum on October 17, looking at one of these texts, Judges 11:19-40. We will explore how this text is relevant for us today by exploring the Midrash tradition. Join us in the parish hall from 9:30 – 10:30 AM.

Mark your calendars and plan to join us on Saturday, November 6 from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM for a Contemplative Photography workshop led by Katie Archibald-Woodward of Life Illuminated. Katie will lead us in a morning of exploring both photography and the practice of contemplation and mindfulness using an approach through which you will be invited to discover the potency and wonder in any photo—from the mundane to the monumental. We will gather in the Ecology Center at the Linwood Nature Preserve. Come hone your skills and learn to see with new eyes! Contact Cheryl for more information.
On All Saints’ Day, we pause and remember all the saints who have gone before us, and celebrate our belief in the communion of saints. During services on November 7, we will read the names of all those from Grace who have died since All Saint’s Day last year. If you wish to remember loved ones, email Brenda Morgan and share those names no later than October 30.
