Each year, the parish community makes a commitment to live into God’s call for our lives, and we embody this participation in our operating budget. We have reached the halfway point in this year’s stewardship campaign, and are at 37% of our pledge goal for the 2024 budget. If you missed Fr. Stuart’s update email, sent on Thursday, you can read it here.
Pledge cards are available at the church. You also have the option to submit your pledge for 2024 online at the link below. We hope to receive all pledges by All Saints’ Sunday on November 5.
Make Your PledgePrayer yoga will not meet on Thursdays, October 19 or 26.
The Episcopal Church offers a special prayer to be used during the Sunday liturgy to more formally recognize those who are new, making a point to celebrate their presence in the community. We will share this prayer time on Sunday, October 22! Fr. Stuart is gathering a list of names to be read, but if you have joined Grace since 2020 and wish to be included, please email him to let him know. This will be a wonderful way to celebrate the Spirit’s work among us, and we will look to include these prayers in our worship on an annual basis from now on.
On All Saints’ Day, we pause and remember all the saints who have gone before us, and celebrate our belief in the communion of saints. During services on November 5, 2023, we will read the names of all those from Grace who have died since All Saints’ Day last year.
If you wish to remember loved ones, please share those names, using the online form at the link below, no later than Tuesday, October 31.

As our renovation work continues, we have now reached the point where attention will be paid to the St. Francis Garden (between the Parish Hall and the Children of Grace Preschool Wing). We are replacing the sidewalk there to make it easier to navigate, and work will be done on the wooden wall on the COG wing. Due to this, we need to close that doorway to public use beginning next week.
Since the Grace Center doors are also still blocked for entry, please use the main doors under the bell tower for this period of time. The door to what we call the lower foyer opens onto the ramp and stairs in the very front of the main entrance to the building.
We will notify the community, of course, when we can shift back to our typical entrance.
Thank you kindly.
Look ahead to upcoming opportunities for prayer, worship, and community!
