A reminder that we will return to using the Common Cup at Communion this Sunday, May 21. A few notes to keep in mind:
It is not possible logistically to offer both the chalice and the trays, so be aware we will switch fully to the cup.
You are always welcome to take only the consecrated bread/host. The Church has long understood Holy Communion “in one kind” to be full Communion, so there is no problem at all refraining from wine entirely should you choose to do so.
If you choose to share in the wine, we ask that you NOT drink directly from the chalice at this point. Rather, lightly touch the host to the wine, making sure NOT to dip your finger into the wine itself. Parents are strongly encouraged to help their children navigate this shift.
Youth in grades 6-12 will gather for a summer kick off pool party on Friday, May 26 from 11:00 AM – 3 PM. Contact Mary+ for details!
