With Enormous Gratitude

Writing these articles to thank the many folks who share in the services has reminded me yet again of how much energy goes into the community’s worship. It is true that our worship of God is the heart of our identity, with our shared prayers, music, readings, reflections, and fellowship. One added element in these days is our safety and medical teams. It is no secret that we live in complex times, and since I have arrived here as rector, we have seen the need to add these elements to our preparation and presence on Sunday mornings and at other times.

I want to thank all those on the safety team for their presence: Brian Bowron, Ted Chopin, Edith Collins, Ira Ferguson, Randall Frost, Bob Goldmann, Steve Hatch, Robert Jones, Susan Lahey, Ted Landers, Judith Landers, Jeremy Landers, Patrick O’Rouke, Zach Pittman, Tom Rossi, and Doug Smith.

And, for our medical response team, we are blessed with so many physicians and nurses who have helped both with the services and our prior conversations with details around the Covid virus.

I am deeply grateful as well for our off-duty officers who have helped: Tommy McElroy is our primary presence, and Erik Ellis, Kevin Holbrook, and Terry Barnes have all helped as well. I know we are all deeply grateful for the dedication of this entire team.

Blessings,
Stuart
