News for October 27 – November 2

Trunk or Treat & The Varsity

Trunk or Treat returns to Grace on Wednesday, October 30 at 5:30 PM. All are invited to wear costumes, collect candy, and play a game or two. In addition, our Grace Church youth plan to create a preschool-age appropriate “scary room” in room 115 of The Grace Center. Or just come enjoy dinner and seeing the children in their costumes! The Varsity food truck will be here until 6:30 PM to cater dinner. “What’ll Ya Have?”

Advance reservations are required ONLY IF you plan to eat dinner or if you are interested in reserving a parking spot to decorate your car and hand out candy. Meal reservations should be made no later than noon on Monday, October 28. Dinner is optional. No reservation is necessary to wear your costume and come enjoy the trunks and candy and fun. All are welcome!

Family Promise

Our Family Promise guests will be with us from November 10-17. Please visit the sign up board in the greeting area to see ways you can help.

Salvation Army Gainesville Thanksgiving

We ask that you support this effort by donating a bag of groceries. The bags can be dropped off in the parish office or in the marked container at the information station between now and Monday, November 18. Please label the bag for Salvation Army.

• 2 cans of string beans (English cut)
• 2 cans of corn
• 2 cans of peas
• 1 can of cranberry sauce
• 2 boxes of muffin mix
• 1 large bag of stuffing
• 1 box of brownie mix
• 1 bag of rice (1 lb)

Grace Church, through the Outreach budget, will provide turkeys to accompany the groceries. If you prefer, we will do the shopping for you. To accept this offer, please leave a check, payable to Grace Episcopal Church with Salvation Army Thanksgiving in the memo line, at the Parish Office no later than Monday, November 18. For every $20, donated, we will be able to provide one bag of groceries to feed a family of four. Thank you for your continued support.
