Join me in a new Rector’s Sunday Forum beginning January 27 as we explore the way practices of prayer ground our engagement in civil discourse.
I will be helping lead the upcoming Lansing Lee Conference at Kanuga Conference Center March 22 to 24, where will explore issues of justice, compassion, and community. Lansing Lee is an annual conference in coordination with the wider Episcopal Church, and it is a wonderful opportunity to delve more deeply into our call to live together as a diverse community.
During the Rector’s Forum, I will offer insights that we will be using at the Lansing Lee Conference, exploring how our practice of prayer shapes our engagement with some of the most important conversations of our day and age. To prepare for our time together, I invite you to bring newspaper articles, online news that you print off, and other conversations that you come across. Bring resources that have ‘hooked’ you, and we will engage them prayerfully together using key contemplative practices such as the Welcoming Practice.
We will hold this forum space as an ongoing class together, bringing in various articles and news as we continue to delve more deeply in our practice of faith. The Forum meets on Sunday mornings from 9:30 – 10:30 AM in the Parish Hall.
Blessings,
Stuart

All parishioners are encouraged to attend the Annual Parish Meeting of Grace Episcopal Church on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. We’ll enjoy dinner and fellowship, get updates on the Bicentennial Capital Campaign, thank our outgoing vestry members and elect new ones, and hear other key reports of parish business.
We will host Family Promise guests from February 17-24. Please visit the volunteer board in the connector corridor to see ways you can help with this outreach effort.
Twice a year, all Grace Church members are invited to participate in Foyers. Foyer groups consist of small groups of adults who meet in one another’s homes for a meal and fellowship over the course of approximately six months. Not only is participation in Foyers fun, but it also facilitates deeper relationships among Grace Church members. Newcomers are especially encouraged to sign up. Foyers groups are forming now! Sign up online or at the information station no later than Sunday, February 10.
