Join Kinnara at Grace Church on Saturday, January 18 for an exploration of the music from The Baltics, Scandinavia, and Iceland. Featuring Jaako Mäntyjärvi’s Four Shakespeare Songs and works by Rautavaara, Thorvaldsdottir, Kreek, and Pärt.
The January 18 concert at Grace will begin in the nave at 7:00 PM and a festive reception will follow in the parish hall. There is no admission fee and all are welcome. We suggest arriving early for best seating; doors will open at 6:30 PM.
Comprising some of the finest ensemble and solo singers in the country, Kinnara is one of the nation’s premier professional chamber choirs. Under the direction of J.D. Burnett, who also serves as Associate Director of Choral Activities at the University of Georgia, the choir performs a wide variety of standard choral repertoire from all eras.
Please join us from 9:00 – 9:30 AM on Sunday, January 12, in the Parish Hall for coffee and doughnuts to welcome our newest friends to Grace. This informal gathering, typically held on the second Sunday of every other month, gives each of us an opportunity to share a conversation or two with friends familiar to us and those we have not yet met. Come spend some time with us!
Come eat dinner together on Wednesday, January 15 beginning at 5:30 PM.
Childcare is available for families participating in Wednesday evening activities. Reservations are required and can be made on the same form as meal reservations.
