CE Classes at Grace don’t start until September 8 but we are offering a series of special events during the formation hour (9:30 – 10:30 AM) on Sundays in August.
The gathering on August 18 will focus on the nave and liturgical spaces with Fr. Stuart and Jason Voyles, our head verger. If you have ever wondered what the difference is between a ciborium and a purificator, or, honestly, why we call this special space the nave, this tour is for you.
For a while now, we have wondered about a way to foster deeper conversations around the practice of faith and our deep desire to make meaning. We share sermons in various ways online, but when Mike McPeek came on staff as our Worship Technology Assistant, he and Jennifer Williams, our Director of Communication, worked with me to help set up an incredible opportunity. We have launched the Glimpses of Grace podcast, which you are able to access on Spotify, the parish website, or your podcast app of choice.
We will have each week’s sermon as well as monthly (we hope) conversations with great souls in the parish that keep the momentum going as we all reflect on what gives us hope and peace.
So, explore and see if this resource helps you and your family (including youth!) reflect and nurture your spiritual growth.
Blessings,
Stuart
