The fourth annual Messiah Sing Along at Grace Church is Sunday, December 15 at 3:00 PM.
Come listen to professional soloists Caroline Brent-Chessum, soprano; Katherine DeVane, mezzo-soprano; Theodora Anne Schramm, tenor; and Benjamin Schoening, bass, sing the arias. Then stand to join your voices together for the choruses. If you have your own score please do bring it, but we will have copies for you to borrow if you don’t. Our voices will be supported by the Cumberland Orchestra and directed by Lynn Swanson.
All ages and musical abilities are welcome. Grace encourages families to come with their children to hear or sing Messiah! For families that prefer it, free childcare will be available for children age 5 and under.

Location, Parking, Wayfinding
Grace Church is located at the corner of Boulevard NE and Washington St SE in Gainesville. map
Parking is available in two lots located off Brenau Avenue, with handicap spaces in the lot at the corner of Brenau Avenue and Boulevard. Free street parking is also available.
Doors will open at 2:30 PM for this event. You may enter through the main church doors facing Boulevard, though our St. Francis Garden (handicap accessible) at the corner of the Brenau/Boulevard corner parking lot, or via the small stairway at Washington Street. Children
Grace encourages families to come with their children to hear or sing Messiah! Children of all ages are welcome. For families that prefer it, free childcare will be available for children age 5 and under. Please ask an usher or greeter for directions to the children’s wing.
For Your Comfort
Assistive listening devices are available for those who are hearing-impaired. There are also cushions available to make the wooden pews a bit more comfortable. Please ask an usher for assistance.
Food Pantry
Your (optional) ticket for admission to the Messiah Sing Along is one non-perishable item for donation to the Gainesville-Hall Community Food Pantry. Their most needed items are: 16 oz jars of peanut butter, canned fruits, canned green beans or corn, canned tuna, jars of pasta sauce, canned soups, toilet paper, and bar soap.
The Community Food Pantry is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization run by volunteers established for the purpose of assisting local families and individuals who are in need of food. The pantry has provided groceries for the hungry since 1973.
