“Lent is an extraordinary season when we can engage all our senses to practice our faith. From the sound of music and prayers, to the smell of incense, to the taste of bread and wine, to the feel of ash on our foreheads, to what we see in nature and in one another’s faces–these forty days call us to pay closer attention to how we notice the Spirit’s presence in our lives.”
If you missed Fr. Stuart’s invitation to a Holy Lent, emailed earlier this week, you can read it at the link below.
Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 AM on Sunday, March 9.
Centering Prayer has added an in-person option on Fridays at 6 PM in the parlor just off the parish hall. The group will continue to meet on Zoom at 5 PM on Mondays as well. The link can be found in the ON THE CALENDAR section of the newsletter.
Centering Prayer is a contemplative method of prayer that facilitates opening the mind and heart to God. Gatherings consist of a brief opening; sitting in silence for 20 minutes ending with the Lord’s Prayer, then a sharing of video or short discussion of spiritual topic of choice. All are welcome, including those new to Centering Prayer!
CE classes meet from 9:30 – 10:30 AM most Sundays until May 4. Exceptions are April 6, April 13, and April 20.
Legacy Link is offering an 8-week class here at Grace for anyone who is concerned about falls and interested in improving balance, flexibility, and strength.
The class will be held in room 115 of The Grace Center on Tuesdays, April 1 – May 20 from 10:30 AM until noon. There is a $10 fee for materials. Space is limited, call Legacy Link at 770-783-2881 to register.
Look ahead to upcoming opportunities for prayer, worship, and community!
