Grace Church builds its mission around restoring all people to unity with God and with each other in Christ. We care about relationships and the call to embody Christ’s love in the world around us. One way we can do that is through participating in Sacred Ground.
Sacred Ground is a sensitive, prayerful faith-based dialog series that creates space for difficult but respectful and transformative dialogue on race and racism. It holds the vision of beloved community – where all people are honored, protected and nurtured as beloved children of God. It is part of Becoming Beloved Community, The Episcopal Church’s long-term commitment to racial healing, reconciliation, and justice in our personal lives, our ministries, and our society.
Built around a powerful online curriculum of documentary films and readings, this eleven part small group series is designed to promote racial understanding, justice and reconciliation. The materials focus on Black, Indigenous, Latino and Asian/Asian Pacific histories as they intersect with European American histories.
This eleven-part small group series will meet in The Grace Center room 115 at 6:00 PM for 2 hours every other week, beginning Monday, October 3 through mid-March. It may be offered in hybrid format if there is a call for online as well as in person participation.
