Deacon & Seminarian
Edgar was ordained to the transitional diaconate in December of 2020 at the Cathedral of St. Philip.
He was born in Puerto Rico and has lived in the United States for 18 years. Edgar is married to Marycelis and has two children, Eliam and Ezekiel. Edgar has a BA in Philosophy and Letters from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. He also attended St. Vincent Catholic Seminary in Latrobe, Pennsylvania where he completed 72 credits towards his MDiv before transferring to The Episcopal Church. Edgar and Marycelis found a home in the Episcopal Church and have been members of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Oakwood. Edgar is currently a teacher at St. Benedict’s Episcopal School in Smyrna where he teaches Spanish from second to eighth grades.
