2025 Annual Parish Meeting

The Annual Meeting of Grace Episcopal Church in its 197th year was held on Sunday morning, February 2.

Fr. Stuart began the meeting with a prayer before giving some administrative and vision planning updates. He also took the opportunity to recognize outgoing vestry members; Frank Rinker, Julia Greene, Beth Neidenbach, and Sally Pittman, before announcing that Jim Bradley, Jo Brewer, Darlene Hauserman, and Jason Voyles have been elected to begin three-year terms on the vestry.

Amy Munn, our parish treasurer, shared an overview of the parish’s strong financial health. A new focus on Planned Giving was introduced, with the formation of The 1828 Society. Planned Giving is a vital way to support the ministry of a community, and it invites us to be aware of how our own financial gifts can leave a spiritual legacy for decades to come.

Frank Rinker shared some updates on how we are looking at our Outreach efforts a little differently, to better focus on four specific areas of need: poverty, education, health, and Hispanic ministries. Tasks ahead for the outreach committee include awarding dollars to agencies, keeping track of the goals set by the organizations, and where possible, understanding the impact of the donation on the community served.

Julia Greene, Doug & Mary Lynn, Sue Bowron, Steve Carlson, Frank Rinker, Jeremy Landers, Kevin Flack, Carla Kantola, and Jennifer Romberg were recognized for their efforts and contributions in the ongoing Building and Grounds improvements.

New Junior Warden Kimmey Boyd shared a reflection on the value of participation and community. She encouraged us to be present, to find our inspiration, and to contribute our time, talent, and love to the community.

Brandon Nonnemaker gave an update for Children, Youth, and Families before leading the closing prayer.
