Our Grace Parish Choir is taking a well-deserved break following their beautiful work during Holy Week and Easter and will not sing on Sunday. We will be wonderfully blessed to hear the talents of the choirs of University of North Georgia throughout the service. You won’t want to miss the nearly sixty singers at the 10:45 AM service!
There is a long slate of music they will be presenting from the prelude to the introit all the way to the benediction. Come and give thanks and congratulate Dr. Ben Schoening on all the magnificent things he is doing to build a strong music program. Dr. John Broman and Dr. Lauren Ringwald will be conducting various choirs and ensembles from UNG.

Beginning this Sunday we will launch a new series of conversations during our Sunday Forum hour (9:30 to 10:30). On April 16 we’ll talk about Being Dead is No Excuse. Some may have gotten a copy of the Padraig O’Tuama poetry book—which is great. We will roll both of these out on Sunday mornings. We had originally planned for Being Dead is No Excuse to be an online format, but it makes more sense to share it in person–the laughs are better that way. The book is set in Greenville, MS, and the hilarious stories it tells around funerals and church life also provoke interesting reflections on how we make sense of our spiritual lives.
Anyone is invited to come, and perhaps this space can lead to an ongoing Sunday morning book group for those who want to continue meeting.
Also, in the coming weeks, Jason Voyles, our head verger, will be planning a special tour of the nave, highlighting key points in our worship space for those who may be interested in knowing “what this means” or “where that comes from.”
It will be good to see you all as we continue to celebrate this Easter Season!

This Sunday, April 16, is the deadline to sign up for the upcoming Men’s Ministry event.
All men of the parish age 21 – 100 are invited to join us for a Wine Tasting presented by Cork It on Tuesday, April 18 from 7:00 – 8:30 PM in the parish hall. Whether you are a sommelier, an aficionado, a “wine explorer”, a novice, a Rite 1 or a Rite 2 attendee – or don’t even care for wine – this should be an educational evening and a great opportunity to get to know each other better.
The cost is $15 to help cover expenses; payment is due at sign up. Please register online no later than Sunday, April 16.
Grace Church typically honors high school and college graduates each spring. Our annual recognition bulletin will be provided as links to a digital slideshow and a printable .pdf document in the May 14 issue of our email newsletter. Graduates will also be recognized during the 10:45 AM service May 14.
If you will graduate (or have a child graduating) this spring/summer, please submit the online information form on or before 9 AM on Monday, May 8. Information submitted after the deadline will not appear in the slideshow or printable bulletin but high school graduates would still be recognized at church.
