Our parish member directory is now available online! Access ACS is available to Grace Episcopal Church members through a secure log in with a username and password. After creating your account, you’ll be able to see directory information for other members, as well as make changes to your own profile information, including adding family and individual photos.
Head over to this page for information, including instructions on how to set up your account and add photos.
The Member Directory and many of the features of Access ACS are also available through the Church Life mobile app.
When well utilized, this online resource will allow our church members to better connect and engage with one another.
Mark your calendars and plan to attend a special parish meeting this Sunday, September 11 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM. Grab a donut and some coffee and get a overview of the state of our parish.
Children’s Chapel begins again on September 11! Younger children, ages 3 (by September 1) through kindergarten, are invited to participate in Children’s Chapel each Sunday during the first half of 10:45 AM service. Children’s Chapel is an opportunity for little ones to learn about worship and helps them make the transition to “big” Church. Using music and Montessori-style lessons, children learn about our liturgical cycle, explore the elements of worship, and learn basic Bible stories. Children begin the service in the Nave with their families, and are blessed and released to Children’s Chapel, and rejoin their families in the main service at the Presentation.
Please contact Amanda McMillion if you are interested in occasionally helping to lead Children’s Chapel!
The Grace Parish Choir has started a new season and will help lead music at worship beginning this Sunday, September 11. If you would like to be part of our musical family, please reach out to the Director of Music and Organist: Lynn Swanson. We have openings in all voice parts. No audition is necessary.
Grace would like to know of your interest with our parish offering a children’s music ministry program for our families. We have posted a brief survey on our website. If you could take a moment to share your thoughts on what that might look like for you we would appreciate it.
With the kick off of our formation year, we thought it might be a good time to refresh the parish about some key information with regard to prayer concerns, pastoral emergencies, and way-finding through the channels to make sure we know how best to minister to each of you.
Please click over to this post for vital information about:
• contacting clergy
• communicating pastoral concerns on social media
• clergy presence during hospitalizations
• availability of financial assistance
• how pastoral news is shared with the parish
• caring or crowding?
If you want to share a work of art, or if you have a favorite poem you’d like to read, at the Art & Spirit event on October 5, reach out to Fr. Stuart at stuart@gracechurchgainesville.org.
Look ahead to upcoming opportunities for prayer, worship, and community!
