Grace would like to know of your interest in our parish offering a children’s music ministry program for our families. We have posted a brief survey on our website. If you could take a moment to share your thoughts on what that might look like for you we would appreciate it.
Thank you for your interest in children’s music at Grace Church and for your time in letting us know your thoughts. Please email me with any questions!

This week we delivered all the donated school supplies from generous Grace folks to the students and teachers at White Sulphur Elementary School. The delivery happened at the end of their class day, just before the kids loaded the waiting buses. But the administration could not have been happier to open their doors to us! We agreed to stay in touch during the year. They have many new students from Cuba and Honduras and the children are immersed in learning English at the same time as becoming acculturated to a new part of the world. Many thanks to every one of you who contributed with money or actual supplies.

The Hispanic Alliance has volunteer opportunities available, such as packing diaper packages, assembling food boxes, and tutoring, for those looking for a way to help in the community. Please reach out to parishioner Gail Sargent if you are interested in learning more.
The Alliance is also hosting their 4th Annual Latino Fest on Saturday, September 17 from 2:00 – 9:00 PM on the Midland Greenway at 878 Grove Street. All proceeds will go to the North Ga Community Foundation “Fund The Dream“ scholarship fund. Latino culture, music, art, food, and folklore will be celebrated. It is an opportunity to bring the Gainesville community together. It’s a very colorful and fun event honoring the Latino culture and supporting a worthy cause.
If you want to share a work of art, or if you have a favorite poem you’d like to read, at the Art & Spirit event on October 5, reach out to Fr. Stuart at stuart@gracechurchgainesville.org.
Please note that the Zoom links for Compline and Prayer Yoga have changed. The links in the parish newsletter have been updated, but if you were joining the service or class using a saved bookmark on your device, you’ll need to update that link!
Registration continues for the 2023 Women’s Retreat, to be held January 13-15 at the Montreat Retreat and Conference Center in Montreat, North Carolina.

Join us for a weekend of rejoicing, reflection, and renewal! “Together we’ll explore the making of memory in the kitchen and how cooking can be an act of prayer and meditation. Bring some recipes, bring some stories, and bring your senses as we gather for a weekend of fun. I’m excited to welcome you into the world of my Prayerful Kitchen!” – Mary
