Staff Update

Dear People of Grace,

I hope this note finds you doing well as we reach the mid-summer point. I have returned to the office, and it has been wonderful to be here with the team, settling in to a pattern that was beautifully nurtured while I was away.

I am sending you this note to share two important staff updates. When our staff met on July 6, Ansley Forrester shared that she has taken a full-time job with Hall County Schools. It is an exceptional opportunity for her, and her background and training with special education will be invaluable for the families there. Ansley has worked with Children of Grace for 21 years, serving as director the past 10 years. Her constant presence, deep compassion, and diligence has guided Children of Grace with skill and grace. I am working on the directorship and details, and I will communicate that to you shortly.

Also, Will Gotmer shared that he has taken a position with St. Martin in the Fields, and he will begin there September 1. His last day at Grace will be Sunday, August 15. The five years that Will has spent as our Organist/Director of Music have been filled with growth, excitement, and an eye for detail that I greatly appreciate. I know you share with me an enormous gratitude for Will’s willingness to come here among us and enrich our worship and prayers as a community. I am working on next steps with an interim framework, and I will communicate that information to you shortly.
I am deeply proud of our entire staff, and I ask that you hold them all in your prayers in these days.

Blessings, always,
Stuart+
