Dear People of Grace,
I am excited to send you this update about our worship life. Beginning on Palm Sunday, we will have an option for in-person, indoor Holy Eucharist! Thanks be to God!
Given that our percent positive test rate has declined as vaccination rates have increased, the bishop and his team felt it was possible to remove some of the restrictions and allow in-person, indoor worship. We could think of no better time to begin this than Holy Week, which will be so significant for us all I am sure.
More information will be shared on Monday (by email and on our Grace@Home page) with specifics as to registration details and schedules, but broadly speaking, we will be able to have 75 total people gather for the Holy Eucharist in the nave. We have worked to find a way to maintain the Zoom platform, the outdoor option for those who feel more comfortable there, as well as the 10:45 live stream with soloists and section leaders for those who find that meaningful. As you can imagine, it is not easy to balance all of this, but we think we have found a way to do it that takes us to the next step.
I am personally relieved that we can share this together and work out any details before my sabbatical break in May and June, and I want to thank the incredible staff team, the vestry, the medical advisory team, and the vergers who, specifically, have seen to an enormous amount of details this past year.
Whew. We are a step closer, my friends, and I am thankful. So very thankful.
Watch for details on service times and registration.
Blessings, always,
Stuart+
