News for August 30 – September 5

Welcome Back COG

Children of Grace started school August 17 and the teachers are smiling ear to ear behind their masks! Our hearts have not been this full since March! The hallways and classrooms are once again full of happy noise and all the children have settled in to the new routine.

COG could not ask for more supportive families. Our moms and dads have also adapted, not only to a new routine, but to daily health assessment forms and temperature checks during carpool. Ms. Ansley and Ms. Meg have gone above and beyond in equipping the preschool and staff with new systems, cleaning tools, and supporting all the staff in thoroughly cleaning COG each day. We hope these new systems allow us to be ahead of the curve in continuing to mitigate any infectious diseases this year.

Make sure to follow Children of Grace on Facebook to see fun and informative updates about this outreach mission for Grace.

Imagine Church

Last week, we announced a new initiative by the Diocese of Atlanta, Imagine Church. This online worship experience, led by Bishop Wright and the Diocesan staff, will be offered on the fourth Sunday of each month at 7:00 PM. In case you missed it, below is a link to last week’s inaugural service. The Diocese is also offering a post-worship reflection guide, which you might enjoy using in your own devotional time, or with a small group. Check it out!

Save the Date: Town Hall Meeting

Mark your calendars now for a special parish informational meeting on Thursday, September 10 at 6:30 PM. We will gather on Zoom for a time of presentation and information as we discuss this year’s Stewardship ministry, formation updates, and communication platforms. We will also use the “chat” function to gather any questions that you may have, finding ways to address those in further newsletter articles.

With so many details in our lives feeling hectic and stressful, we want to do what we can to clearly lay out a framework for prayer, formation, and participation that will give you a meaningful and efficient way to share in the parish’s life.

Look for the Zoom link in the September 6 issue of our email newsletter and plan to join us September 10 at 6:30 PM!
