Need a resource to help ground your Lenten prayer practice? Episcopal Relief and Development’s 2020 Lenten Meditations are available! This year’s reflections focus on the spirituality of children, and how we all might grow spiritually by letting our children teach us. Meditation booklets are available in the lower foyer and at the information station. Also available are seasonal Forward Day by Day meditations on the daily office. Help yourself. May you have a holy Lent.
The Visual Arts Committee of the Liturgy & Creative Expression cluster invites all Grace members to submit their art to the 2020 Grace Member Art Show that will open March 23 and run through April 30. Pieces submitted to this show may include paintings, mixed media, photography, fabric and 3D art such as ceramics, glass, metal, sculpture and woodwork. Learn more and register online by March 6. If you have any questions, need clarification, or want to volunteer to help with the show, please contact Fran Hazel or Ann Goble.
Spring Fling is COG’s one and only annual fundraiser and this year we hope to raise enough money to completely revamp the bark side of our playground. The goal is to replace all the bark with a more preschool friendly material as well as augment the landscaping to minimize tripping when transitioning from the playground rubber flooring to the swings.
If you would like to help, please consider purchasing a raffle ticket for $25. Each ticket is worth 4 chances to win! The drawing is March 6 but you do not need to be present to win. You can purchase tickets through the COG office or online. The prizes are: $2,000 toward a vacation courtesy of Dreams Fulfilled Travel OR toward your 2020-2021 COG tuition, a three night vacation in the Highlands, a one night stay at Great Wolf Lodge Atlanta/LaGrange + gift card, or a pottery workshop for 6 at Ember Ceramics. see full details
