Twice a year, all Grace Church members are invited to participate in a Foyer Group. Foyer Groups consist of small groups of adults who meet in one another’s homes for a meal and fellowship over the course of approximately six months. Not only is participation in Foyers fun, but it also facilitates deeper relationships among Grace Church members. Newcomers are especially encouraged to sign up. Foyers groups are forming now! Sign up online or at the information station no later than Sunday, February 16.
The Visual Arts Committee of the Liturgy & Creative Expression cluster invites all Grace members to submit their art to the 2020 Grace Member Art Show that will open March 23 and run through April 30. Pieces submitted to this show can be paintings, mixed media, photography, fabric and 3D art to include ceramics, glass, metal, sculpture and woodwork. Learn more and register online by March 6. If you have any questions, need clarification, or want to volunteer to help with the show, please contact Fran Hazel or Ann Goble.
Remember Grace member artists, “Creative work is not a selfish act or a bid for attention on the part of the actor/artist. It’s a gift to the world and every being in it. Don’t cheat us of your contribution. Give us what you’ve got”. (Steven Pressfield, The War of Art).
Grace adults gather each month in the Youth Room to watch and discuss movies old and new addressing a wide variety of subjects. A very casual occasion, participants often bring a little food and drink to share. We always have a good time and lively discussion-join us at 7:00 PM on Friday, February 14.
Come eat dinner together on Wednesday, February 12 beginning at 5:30 PM.
Childcare is available for families participating in Wednesday evening activities. Reservations are required and can be made on the same form as meal reservations.

Building upon last week’s Love is Listening program, come explore ways to connect with people that have conditions that might make us uncomfortable. We have invited a guest speaker to GWAG on February 12 and 19, at 6:30 PM to talk with us about mental health.
Jason Bennett, LCSW is the Treatment Services Coordinator for Hall County H.E.L.P. Program (mental health accountability court). Jason will be sharing about general mental health awareness and how to better support and “be with” those with mental illness. Jason will also explain the H.E.L.P. Program and its impact on both participants, as well as the community.
Grace has been a big supporter of the Hall County H.E.L.P. Program for many years and our Community of Hope group provides participants a monthly “Walk and Talk” event and occasional support in court to celebrate progress in the program. “Help Court” as they call it, is very near and dear to the hearts of many in our Community of Hope ministry.
Forward Day by Day devotional booklets for February, March, and April are available at the information station in the connector corridor and on the visitor’s table in the lower foyer.
