The parish choir, accompanied by a chamber ensemble, will present Howard Goodall’s Eternal Light: A Requiem at 6:00 PM on All Saints’ Sunday, November 3. The work was commissioned in 2008 and has received countless performances since then, making it one of Goodall’s most popular choral compositions. Like Fauré’s Requiem, Goodall’s interpretation centers on those who are grieving rather than the salvation of the departed.
A short service of remembrance with the reading of names and prayer for those in our lives who have died will begin the concert.
