We are blessed at Grace Episcopal Church to have many people passionate about music, united to create and support inspiring music to God’s glory. People of all abilities and ages are welcome to participate in our musical groups, or help the ministry behind the scenes.
Bless o Lord us your servants, who minister in your temple. Grant that we are what we sing with our lips we may believe in our hearts, and what we believe in our hearts we may show forth in our lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
The Parish Choir is the foundation of our music ministry and open to high-school youth through adult. Our choir prepares choral literature that represents music from around the globe and spans across the ages of time. With great intent, we prepare our offerings to complement the staff’s carefully planned liturgical services.
Because of the tremendous support our parish family gives, the Grace Choir most recently served as Choir-in-Residence at the Cathedral Church of Saint Peter in Exeter, England, in August 2024.
This is the first tour our choir has taken, but we hope to begin planning our next tour very soon. During our Exeter residency, we provided music for five Choral Evensong services and two Choral Eucharist services.
Beyond being a part of regular Sunday services here at Grace, we participate in additional seasonal liturgical services and community programs throughout the year. One such community event is our Messiah Sing Along which takes place on the third Sunday afternoon in Advent here in our nave.
We would love to have you as a part of our musical family! Membership to the Parish Choir is open to all with previous musical experience who can commitment to regular rehearsals and services.
Grace also incorporates instrumentalists in our services. If you, as a soloist, or as an ensemble, are interested in being a part of our beautiful Sunday services, please contact Music Director & Organist Lynn Swanson.
Please visit our Friends of Music page which lists the Grace Choir’s concerts and the musical guests and dates of the Friends of Music Annual Concert Series.
