Holy Eucharist, Rite II

Our main Sunday service at 10:45 AM is a traditional service of Scripture readings, a homily (sermon), prayer and Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer. The service also includes hymns and music. From August until May, music is led by the Parish Choir. The service typically ends about 12:00 PM.

Who Can Receive Communion

All baptized persons are invited to receive communion, including children. After receiving the wafer, it may be consumed, followed by a sip of wine from the chalice (please assist the chalice bearer in guiding the chalice to your lips.) Alternatively, the wafer may be dipped in the chalice and then consumed. If you do not want to receive the wine, simply cross your arms across your chest after consuming the wafer. If you do not want to receive Communion, but desire a blessing, then simply cross your arms across your chest when you first arrive at the rail. When the person next to you has received Communion or a blessing, please return to your seat by the side aisle.

Children's Chapel

Children, ages 3 (by September 1) to 1st grade, are invited to participate in Children’s Chapel each Sunday during the 10:45 service. Children’s Chapel is an opportunity for little ones to learn about worship, and helps them make the transition to “big” Church. They learn a child’s creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and discuss the Gospel on their level. Music is an integral part of the worship experience. Children begin the service in the Nave with their families, and are blessed and released to Children’s Chapel. They return to the service at the Presentation.

The nursery is located in the children's education wing and is available to all children age 4 and under. The nursery is open on Sunday mornings during worship services and during the Christian Education hour from 9:30 - 10:30 AM.

Greeters are stationed just before you enter the church to welcome parishioners and visitors to Grace Church. If you need assistance or have a question, please look for a person wearing a greeter nametag with a white ribbon attached.

Visitor Cards

Visitor cards are located at the end of each pew. If you visit us for a church service, we would love to have a record of your visit and will be happy to send you more information about Grace Church.
