Christian Education

Sunday morning Christian Education classes typically begin mid August and end in May. Classes are available for children, youth and adults from 9:30 - 10:30 AM. The nursery is open during the Christian Education hour for children 4 and under.

Holy Eucharist, Rite II

Our main Sunday service at 10:45 AM is a traditional service of Scripture readings, a homily (sermon), prayer and Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer. The service also includes hymns and music. From August until May, music is led by the Parish Choir. During the church school year, Children's Chapel is available during the 10:45 AM service for children ages 3 to 1st grade. A nursery is available for children age 4 and under. The service typically ends about 12:00 PM.

Who Can Receive Communion

All baptized persons are invited to receive Holy Communion, including children. After receiving the bread, it may be consumed, followed by a sip of wine from the chalice (please
assist the chalice bearer in guiding the chalice to your lips). Alternatively, the bread may be dipped in the chalice and then consumed. If you do not want to receive the wine, simply
cross your arms across your chest after consuming the bread. If you do not want to receive Communion, but desire a blessing, simply cross your arms across your chest when you first
arrive at the rail. When the person next to you has received Communion or a blessing, please return to your seat by the side aisle.

Children's Chapel

Children, age 3 (by September 1) to kindergarten, are invited to participate in Children’s Chapel each Sunday during the first half of 10:45 service. Children’s Chapel is an opportunity for little ones to learn about worship, and helps them make the transition to “big” Church. They have their own liturgy, and discuss one of the weekly Bible stories in child-accessible ways. Music is an integral part of the worship experience. Children begin the service in the Nave with their families, and are blessed and released to Children’s Chapel, and rejoin their families in the main service at the Presentation.

The nursery is located in the children's education wing and is available to all children age 4 and under. The nursery is open on Sunday mornings from 8:00 AM until noon, during both worship services and the Christian Education hour.

Greeters are stationed just before you enter the church to welcome parishioners and visitors to Grace Church. If you need assistance or have a question, please look for a person wearing a greeter nametag with a white ribbon attached.

Visitor Cards

Visitor cards are located at the end of each pew. If you share in a church service, we would love to have a record of your visit and, at your request, share further information about
what Grace Church has to offer!
