As a Christian community grounded in prayer, compassion, and belonging, we desire to be welcoming and affirming to those who have been Episcopalians for decades and those who are seeking and wondering about God’s presence in their lives. If you are new to the area or already settled and looking for a church home, we warmly invite you to share with us in worship on a Sunday morning!
The nave of Grace Church is located at the corner of Washington Street SE and Boulevard NE in Gainesville, GA. Parking is available in lots located off Brenau Avenue, with handicap spaces in the lot at the corner of Brenau Avenue and Boulevard. Free street parking is also available. Main entrances are located off Boulevard and through the St. Francis Garden. For more detailed information on finding us, click here.
Greeters are stationed at main entrances to welcome you to Grace Church and to offer assistance. They will gladly direct you to the Nave for the service or help you find whatever you may need. Upon entering the Nave for worship, our Ushers will provide you with a service bulletin and answer any questions about the service.
Unless otherwise noted, each Sunday service of worship includes the Holy Eucharist, also called Holy Communion or the Lord’s Supper, the principal act of worship on the Lord’s Day. All baptized persons are invited to receive Holy Communion, including children.
The structure of the liturgy also features readings from the Old and New Testaments, a sermon, responsive prayers, and a time of confession. The order for the service–prayers, hymns and lessons—are provided in a printed bulletin to assist the congregation in sharing in every part of the liturgy.
