Our History with Habitat for Humanity

Grace Church broke ground on September 21, 2003 for our first house built in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Hall County. Our second house was completed in just 4 months - September 2004 to January 2005. On Sunday, December 17, 2006, our third house was dedicated in memory of Ned Gignilliat, a long time member of our church and an enthusiastic volunteer in our previous Habitat efforts.

In the summer of 2008, Grace partnered with First Baptist, First Methodist, First Presbyterian and Prince of Peace Catholic churches, Cargill, and Habitat of Hall to build two houses. This effort was a part of a redevelopment project for the neighborhood that had been underway for several years, co-sponsored by the county, the local governmental redevelopment corporation and Habitat of Hall. We again partnered with First Baptist, First Methodist and First Presbyterian to build one house in the summer of 2009 and another in the summer/fall of 2010.

If you'd like to financially support this outreach effort, please consider purchasing a copy of “A Taste of Grace” cookbook for $17. All proceeds from the sale of the cookbook go toward future Habitat for Humanity outreach projects.

Grace Church is blessed to be a part of the good work Habitat for Humanity is doing in our community.
